ENGINE ROOM  AND GEAR PUMPS

DESMI offers more than 100 pump designs and variations, covering all applications of the engine room and ensuring that you will always get the right pump for the job. The pump range includes centrifugal pumps and gear pumps. DESMI pumps are designed for high efficiency, thus, consuming lowest power possible.

DESMI is offering a FAST TRACK DELIVERY concept which means that we can supply vertical in-line centrifugal pumps, horizontal self-priming pumps or internal gear pumps within two working days*  (or 48 hours)  for the following applications (but not limited to):

The NDW pumps from DESMI are energy efficient and well proven for pumping every media from LPG, to LEG over a wide range of chemicals, through to CO2.

FIXED WATER-BASED LOCAL APPLICATION SYSTEM FOR MACHINERY SPACE

The DESMI Fixed Fire-Fighting system is developed to suppress or extinguish fire at an early stage before releasing the total flooding system as required by SOLAS Ch.II-2/Reg.10.5.6.1&2 for ships constructed on and after 1st July 2002. The FineFogTM water mist has a highly suffocating and cooling effect and with the DESMI FineFogTM you can therefore protect the inflammable objects in accordance with SOLAS requirements (e.g. main engine top, auxiliary engine top, heated fuel oil purifier, oil fired boiler front, incinerator burner, oil fired inert gas generator etc) without having to shut down engine, evacuate personnel or seal off space.

WATER SPRINKLER SYSTEM FOR ACCOMMODATION

DESMI Water Sprinkler System is a conventional sprinkler system designed as a so-called wet pipe system. A wet pipe sprinkler system is fixed fire protection using piping filled with pressurized water supplied from a dependable source. The sprinkler system is an automatic wet pipe fire extinguishing system. The system is installed in accommodation space and other service areas on the vessels such as passenger ships, car ferries, accommodation barges, offshore support vessels, large boats or yachts.

HELIDECK FOAM SYSTEM AND DECK FOAM SYSTEM FOR OIL/CHEMICAL TANKERS

The DESMI fixed low expansion foam fire-fighting system is developed to protect the oil and chemical tanker deck areas, helidecks or other open deck areas (e.g. bow/stern loading areas) as well as closed horizontal spaces (e.g. streamer reel, purifier room).

Water is an ideal extinguishing medium for many shipboard applications, it is conveniently accessible, has great heat absorbing capabilities and can be used on a variety of fires.

COMPACTCLEAN BALLAST WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (UV)

Are you looking for a ballast water management system that can be installed easily and without relocating other equipment? CompactClean is the answer! Almost as easy as plug and play! It is the first ballast water management systems on the market that combines very low space with large flow rates. Only 3.0 m2 / 30 sqft is necessary for a 1000 m3/h / 4403 gpm system + 0.84 m2 / 9 sqft for the electrical panel, which can however be placed up to 100 m / 328 ft away from the system itself. The operation of the system is based purely on mechanical treatment and therefore it does not involve any use of chemicals or active substances. This eliminates risks of hazards to crew, vessel or the environment. First treatment step is filtration, second step is UV treatment. During de-ballasting, UV treatment is repeated, but the filtration step is skipped.
