An interesting technical presentation on Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS ) – Scrubbers and compliance options for ship owners / managers to IMO MARPOL Annex VI rule was successfully delivered by our Messrs. SAACKE MARINE SYSTEMS to IMarEST Cyprus members, associates & friends on Tuesday 21st March 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO), the regulatory authority for the international maritime industry, took the decision to implement a global sulphur cap of 0.5% Sulphur (%S) fuel in 2020 during the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) 70 meeting in London in October 2016.

Why choosing exhaust gas cleaning system to comply with the current sulphur cap of 0.1% in ECAs and the global sulphur cap of 0.5% that is coming to force in 2020?
